About DAPA

At DAPA, we specialise in comprehensive Infection Control and Work Health & Safety training, ensuring dental practices comply with legislation. Our trainers, with extensive experience in private practices, stay updated with the latest Infection Prevention and Control standards.

DAPA is the national peak body for dental assisting. ASQA-accredited, we offer 50+ years of high-quality education. We aim to ensure your dental practice complies with all current legislative requirements. The following resources reference all the information provided in our training:

Qualified Staff


Our staff hold current Training and Assessment qualifications, are either practitioners or experienced dental managers and have current membership to:


  • Australasian College of Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC)

  • Sterilizing Research and Advisory Council of Australia (SCRACA)

  • Vocational Education and Learning Group (VELG)

As well as affiliation with Infection Control industry groups, suppliers and manufacturers.


Certificates of attendance will be issued to all participants, including the appropriate CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours.


What We Offer

We offer a tailored two or four-hour Infection Prevention and Control session for your team. This interactive training helps develop personalised protocols. Depending on your practice, these may include:

Hand hygiene audit; evaluation of infection prevention and control practice; and review of reusable medical device reprocessing, with recommendations and a report.

Staff awareness of infection prevention and control; review and evaluation of reusable medical device reprocessing protocols; and hand hygiene, sterile technique and aseptic procedures for implant dentistry.


Session duration is indicative. We will confirm the scope, attendance and timing with you when booking.
Travel and additional costs Training outside the Sydney CBD may incur additional travel and delivery expenses. Flights and accommodation, where required, will be quoted based on location, distance, and availability. We will provide the total quote, including any additional charges, for your agreement before confirming the booking.
